Terms of Service

These terms govern the cleaning and property services provided by CleanStays. By booking a service, connecting a calendar, or using our website, you agree to them.

1. Services

CleanStays provides turnover cleaning, hot tub servicing, maintenance coordination, and related property services for short term rental properties in the Calgary area. The specific scope for your property is set out in your service agreement or accepted estimate.

2. Estimates and Pricing

• Estimates generated on our website are indicative only and are not a binding quote
• Final pricing is confirmed after a property walkthrough
• Rates are per turnover and are set out in your service agreement
• We may adjust rates with thirty days written notice
• Additional work beyond the agreed scope is quoted separately and requires your approval before it is performed

3. Scheduling and Calendar Sync

Where you connect an iCal feed, cleans are scheduled automatically from your booking data. You remain responsible for the accuracy of that feed.

• We schedule turnovers based on the checkout dates in your connected calendar
• We are not liable for a missed clean caused by a calendar that failed to sync, was disconnected, or contained inaccurate dates
• Bookings made outside the connected calendar must be communicated to us directly
• Same day turnovers require a minimum window between checkout and check in; where that window is not available we will notify you

4. Cancellation

• Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice are not charged
• Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled clean are charged at 50 percent of the service rate
• If our cleaner arrives and cannot access the property, the full rate applies
• We may cancel or reschedule where conditions make the service unsafe or impractical, and will notify you as soon as we are aware

5. Property Access

You are responsible for providing working access to the property, whether by lockbox, smart lock code, or key. Access credentials are treated as confidential and are shared only with the contractor assigned to your property. You must notify us of any change to access arrangements before the next scheduled clean.

6. Photographs and Documentation

We photograph properties as part of every service. These images are the record of work completed and of any pre existing condition. By engaging our services you consent to this documentation. Photographs remain the property of CleanStays and are made available to you through your property record.

7. Damage and Missing Items

• Our contractors report damage, stains, and missing items with photographs at the time of discovery
• Reports are provided to you so you may pursue a claim with your booking platform or guest
• CleanStays does not pursue claims on your behalf unless separately agreed
• Where damage is caused directly by our contractor during service, notify us within 48 hours of the clean with supporting evidence
• We are not responsible for damage or loss reported outside that window, or for wear and tear

8. Supplies

Unless otherwise agreed, consumables and linens are supplied by the property owner and stored on site. Where restocking is included in your service, we source and replace consumables and invoice the cost. We are not liable for a clean that could not be completed to standard because supplies were unavailable on site.

9. Payment

• Invoices are issued twice monthly, covering the 1st to the 15th and the 16th to month end
• Payment terms are set out on each invoice
• Accounts more than fourteen days overdue may have service suspended
• Overdue balances may carry interest at 2 percent per month

10. Standard of Service

We perform every turnover to a consistent documented standard. If a clean does not meet that standard, notify us within 24 hours with specifics. Where the shortfall is confirmed we will re clean at no charge or credit the service. This is your sole remedy for a service quality issue.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Alberta law, our total liability arising from any service is limited to the amount you paid for that specific service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost booking revenue, guest refunds, platform penalties, or damage to your listing rating.

12. Non Solicitation

You agree not to directly engage, hire, or contract any cleaner introduced to you through CleanStays for a period of twelve months following their last service at your property, without our written consent.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate with fourteen days written notice. Services already performed remain payable. On termination we delete property access credentials within thirty days and retain service records in line with our Privacy Policy.

14. Website Use

Content on cleanstays.ca is provided for information only. The estimate tool produces an indicative figure and does not constitute an offer. We may change website content at any time.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Alberta courts.

16. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes affecting active clients will be communicated directly with at least thirty days notice.
